"One of the most popular African football players ever was certainly Rabah Madjer, strong forward of the end of the eighties. Madjer, born in 1958, a European career between France and Portugal (RC Paris 1983-85, Tours 1985, FC Porto 1985-1988, FC Valence 1988, FC Porto 1988-1991) owes his popularity to one match above all, the 1987 European Cup final played with Porto in Wien against the most favourite Bayern München of Matthäus and Rummenigge. When the Portuguese were 1 point behind, they tied thanks to one of the most famous goals in the tournament history: a goal with the heel scored by Madjer while he was turned with his back to the goal, a brilliant invention. In the end, Porto won that final 2-1 and the first European Cup in their history. That goal got him the nickname of "Allah's heel" and the African Golden Ball as the dark continent best player of that year."Imagem TSF

Sem dúvida! Até porque na altura o F.C.P. era ainda um relativo "desconhecido" em termos de alta roda europeia e este jogo marcou o afirmar do clube como equipa de nível europeu. Que grande jogo!

O dia em que acabou a unanimidade sentimental em torno das equipas portuguesas nas competições internacionais.

Não sei se será o momento mais importante da história do FCP (que já vai tendo muitos grandiosos episódios para contar!), mas esta é certamente a imagem mais célebre de todos os tempos deste clube.
